Share files by sending recipients a Download Link. Recipients do not require a user account configured on the JetStream host server application. Recipients use the JetStream client application to download the files.

Creating Download Links

To create a download link:

  1. Go to the Send & Receive screen.
  2. Select the file(s) and/or folder(s) to be shared. Note: Only files at a host server location can be shared via Download Link.
  3. Right-click and select Create Download Link... from the menu.
  4. Optionally enter a Description, Expiry timeframe, Number of Downloads Allowed, and Passphrase. Note: Remember the passphrase as it cannot be recovered later. Click OK.
  5. Copy and paste the entire message or simply the link itself into an email or instant message to the recipient.
  6. Close the Download Link window by clicking x in the top right corner.

Using Download Links

To use a download link:

  1. If not already installed, download and install the JetStream client application:
    Mac | Windows | Linux CentOS | Linux Ubuntu
  2. Once you have installed JetStream, click on the link from the sender. The JetStream application will automatically launch.
  3. Enter Passphrase if provided.
  4. Under Place Files here... select the destination folder for the download.
  5. To begin the download, click OK.
  6. Go to the destination folder to access the downloaded file.

Managing Shared Links

To manage previously shared links, click the More Items icon in the top menu and select Shared Links.

From the Shared Links screen, right-click on the link(s) to do one of the following:

  • Copy the link to the clipboard
  • Show the Shared Folder message window by selecting Share Link...
  • Delete the link
